spic website: sep holds handover ceremony for first offshore wind power maintenance ship
at 9:18 am on december 31, 2019, the handover ceremony of sep's first professional offshore wind power operation and maintenance ship, yifeng-021, was held at dafeng port, yancheng, jiangsu province. leaders and guests from sep and its affiliated companies, dafeng marine office of yancheng, aurora (dalian) yachts co., ltd, china classification society (ccs) and nantong haichao marine engineering co., ltd. attended the handover ceremony.
yifeng-021, the offshore wind power maintenance ship commissioned this time, adopts the international advanced concept for wind power maintenance ship, is manufactured by aurora (dalian) yachts with the imported technology under the authorization of netherlands-based damen shipyards group. the whole shipbuilding process was under the supervision of ccs.
the offshore wind power maintenance ship has an all-aluminum alloy catamaran structure, with a total length of 19.8 meters, a draft of 1.8 meters and a design speed of 46 km per hour. the ship's unique double-axe bow and hull lines design are able to reduce peak acceleration by 50 to 75 percent and lower additional wave resistance by up to 60 percent compared with the traditional catamaran with the same displacement, ensuring that the ship could maintain the best performance while sailing at high speed. the pioneering design of tower-climbing platform at the bow of the ship ensures that the o&m personnel could be safely sent from the ship to the offshore wind turbine in the shortest time under severe sea conditions, which not only effectively guarantees the safety of the operation personnel, but also greatly improves the efficiency of wind turbine o&m.
the official delivery of yifeng 021, the first professional offshore wind power o&m ship of sep, will not only provide more professional support services for the company's offshore wind power o&m, but will also have a positive and far-reaching impact on the high-quality and rapid development in the offshore wind power sector of sep in future.
