xia zhong, wang yundan meet maltese minister for energy and water management
on april 26, 2019, spic party leadership group member and vice president xia zhong met with joe mizzi, minister for energy and water management of malta, john aquilina, malta's ambassador to china, and a delegation at spic headquarters in beijing. both sides conducted exchanges on spic and sep deepening energy and water conservancy development in malta. sep chairman wang yundan and sepm ceo sheng baojie participated in the meeting.
xia expressed welcome to the visit of mizzi and his delegation, appreciated the energy minister for affirming sep's package energy investment in malta at the founding ceremony to jointly build belt and road energy partnership, and believed that signing the mou on deepening cooperation will further boost both sides in exploration and cooperation in renewable energy, r&d in offshore floating pv, wind power and energy storage demonstration projects, sewage treatment technology development and construction of integrated smart energy pilot project. he also introduced spic's technology and capacity in renewable energy r&d, designing and construction, as well as the latest progress in improving the safety, stability, reliability and power generation efficiency of power plants through utilization of intelligent energy technology.
maltese energy minister mizzi, maltese ambassador aquilina and their delegation paid a visit to spic's exhibition hall on smart energy, with a detailed understanding of china's strategic demand in implementing smart energy, spic's good practice, construction thought on smart energy platform and its vision on smart energy. mizzi hoped spic to apply its leading technology and rich experience in smart energy development to the second-stage energy cooperation in malta, utilize offshore floating new energy and energy storage technology in building demonstration projects in malta and promote them to the other european countries and regions.
